My first introduction to American Girl Dolls came along with my first trip to New York City. I had never heard of them before, but one of the two things my wife insisted we do was go by the American Girl store while we were there. What started out as a concession, turned out to be a surprisingly fun stop.
Once in the store I started to wander around with the hope that I'd be able to distract myself long enough for her to see what she came for. Instead, I was immediately blown away by all the accessories and attention to detail, especially in the historical dolls, now called the BeForever line.
